PDFsharp & MigraDoc Foundation

Hi,

Am new to C#. My task with C# is to read a PDF document copy a selected text in to text document. The compiler am using is Microsoft Development Environment 2003 Verion 7.1.3088. and Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 version 1.1.4322 SPI.

Having googled i came to know about PDFSharp libraries, am trying to make use it. When am making to use assemblies it gives me warning "migraDoc.DocumentObjectModel-WPF.dll could not be used. This is not valid assembly or COM component. Only assemblies with extension 'dll' and COM components can be referenced. Please make sure that the file is accessible, and that is valid assembly or COM component".

This is the case with any of the dll files. Even though i give input as 'dll' extension file as input it gives in the warning as "Only assemblies with extension 'dll' and COM components can be referenced" as mentioned above.

There are some other warning when i tried to use open project either from MigraDoc or PDFsharp as "The selected file is a Visual Studio solution file, but was created by a newer version of Visual Studio and cannot be opened."

Since i have access only to this lincenced version of compiler pelase suggest me solution for my task.
I have tried from a long time and i had no luck . Hope i get a solution this time.

For use with Visual Studio 2003 and .NET Framework 1.1, please download PDFsharp version 0.9 from SourceForge.

Newer versions of PDFsharp may require changes in the source code to make them compile with VS 2003 against .NET 1.1.
