Hallo @all,
I'm coding at the moment an webbased application by using VS2008 at Vista workstation and IIS7 at Windows server 2008.
On both systems are the same(!) fonts installed, but the result is different. The used font (Garamond) is correctly embedded.
I will show you an example at the attechements.
Has anybody any idea?
Thanx in advanced
Andi

Hi!

When run on the server, a different font is used for the font metrics.

But when using MigraDoc, this normally affects the spacing between words only, not the letter spacing.

Hallo Thomas,

Hi, Andi,

so if you're using a GDI build, please try a WPF build (and vice versa).

IIRC the GDI build must run with Full Trust to access the font data (not sure about the WPF build).

The clean way: use the WPF build and embed all the fonts your server application needs and use them as a PrivateFontCollection.

If you have full control over the server you might as well change the server settings to give your application the access rights it needs.
