Hi, I don't know much about the PDF format so I don't know how it handles bitmaps internal. I think it include them in an own binary format, right? So, I've to create some PDF with a lot of pictures and like to ask what grafic format you would suggest to make it as fast as possible? Tranparancy is not needed it should just be fast as after dynamic creating the user should be able to download it. Thanks for this great project! Andre |

PDF supports JPEG. PDFsharp converts anything else to the LZW compressed bitmap format of PDF. It depends on the type of image and on your need if you should use JPEG or anything else. JPEG works great for photos but should not be used for bar charts, normal screen shots etc. Images with text or line art will normally look bad when JPEGged. |
