Hi,

New cross-platform version was long awaited, thanks for that.

However .net6 is a strong requirement, I was wondering if targeting .net standard instead would be possible ?
Do you think it would require a lot of work? = Are there a lot of code that is exclusively dependent on .net6?

I don't know.
Someone must give it a try. How about you?
I don't think there are many dependencies on .NET 6 - if any.

Here is a fork with PdfSharp core project targeting .netstandard2.0
https://github.com/KDS/PDFsharp-netstandard20
Seems to work well on a CentOS7 (linux) docker container, used in a .net7 project.
I'll try on a .net48 project.

Note: gdi projects may not compile.

Hi,

Update on this topic:

Here is the pull request that makes PDFsharp core project multi-targeting net6 + netstandard2.0:
https://github.com/empira/PDFsharp/pull/45

It has been tested under net48 and is working well.

Thanks.
We are working on our own multi-target version for .NET Standard 2.0 and .NET 6, but sometimes I check how you solved the problems. Very useful.

Great news!

By the way, any chances you could publicly share some roadmap or backlog of yours?
