Post subject:  Thai tone notes at wrong position

I want to use PDFsharp to generate PDFs in Thai and have a problem I found no easy solution to...

In Thai, the tone notes and some vovels (like ้ ่ ี) vary their position depending on the preceding character. Some examples:

มี ปี / เสื้อผ้า / อยู่ ที่

While this is handled by Windows GDI correctly, PDFsharp doesn't seem to support this. In the generated PDF, the tone notes and vowels are always displayed at the same position, so they can overlap.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a solution or a workaround? I would be very thankful for any hint, as PDFsharp is really a great library, and I'd like to stick with it.

Thanks!
Alex

Hi, Alex,

The FAQ does not mention Thai, but so far there is no support for non-Latin languages in PDFsharp.

Hi Thomas

Sad to hear that, but thank you for your answer.

I had a look at the source code of the library, but I have too little understanding about the PDF format, so I worry I cannot fix it myself...

But really impressive job and nice code :-)

Alex
