A little while ago I spoke with a salesperson from iText about lisencing their library. I've since decided to use PdfSharp, but that salesperson came back and told me that PdfSharp uses iTextSharp technology, which is under a significantly more restrictive lisence for commercial applications. Is this true? I suspect it isn't but I figured that I should do my due diligence.

PDFsharp does not use a single line of code from iTextSharp, so the iTextSharp license is not relevant for PDFsharp.

Would you give us the name of the salesperson (Private Message (PM) will do) so we can contact her/him to clear up the misunderstandings?

Done. Check your PMs.

After I posted this I looked at the source code of both and it looked pretty different.

Thank you for the feedback.

Maybe he was referring to a different project - there are several PDF libraries, and some may be based on iTextSharp.
