I've been playing around with PDFsharp & MigraDoc for a couple of weeks now, and I must say I'm very impressed with its capabilities :)

However, there's just one thing that's really bugging me: footnotes. MigraDoc (the latest public version, 1.32) just can't output them. I've stepped into the code and found that in MigraDoc.Rendering.ParagraphRenderer.RenderElement() footnotes just aren't implemented :(

Does anybody know if these will be fully supported in the next release? And when the next release will be available? I need to create PDFs with footnotes at the bottom of the page, above the footer (I can't live without them!) so unfortunately I might have to look for another PDF creation library. It's a real shame, I otherwise love this software!

Regards,

cal

What you can do: use MigraDoc Foundation to create an MDDDL file and pass that file to the MigraDoc Client and let the client create the PDF with footnotes.

Depending on where your application is supposed to run, this may or may not be a solution.

I forgot to say thanks for the reply Thomas!

But I was hoping to just be able to use PDFsharp & MigraDoc, not requiring anything else. Is this still being developed? Will there be any new versions after 1.32?

Yes. Yes. (But I cannot say when)
