Howdy,

I have a fillable, editable PDF that has an owner password. I can fill it in Adobe Reader and export it, and I can also use iTextSharp with unethicalReading set to true and then fill the PDF just fine, but with PDFsharp I always get the "we don't support this encryption" message.

Is there a way to edit/fill PDFs that have the owner's password set?

Thanks.

Yes - if the encryption scheme is supported.

I get a different error in this same use case. I get "Header checksum illegal".

I don't want to edit the document, just fill the form via our application. The document does not have a user password, just an owner password. This prevents PdfSharp from even opening the document so I cannot fill the form.

I have tried all the PdfDocumentOpenModes and get the same error on the line executing PdfReader.Open.

Different error, different problem.
No simple solution yet, but maybe a workaround.

Hi, I believe I have a similar issue. I cannot read a PDF (PDFREADER returns blank pages), nor to draw on it.

the URL to the PDF: http://mayafiles.tase.co.il/RPdf/556001 ... 907-00.pdf

when trying to draw i get - PdfSharp.SharpZipLib.SharpZipBaseException: 'Header checksum illegal'
when trying to save, i get - cannot save a pdf with no pages, although the pagecount is 2.

will glad to know if there is a solution.

many thanks in advance.
