Hello-
I've been happily using PDFSharp for a year or so now, and now I'm considering using MigraDoc for a different project where I'll be performing a somewhat complex mail-merge-like function on the same document (about 100 pages) over and over. The document currently exists in Microsoft Word format, so I want to manually convert it to .mdddl, perform my mail merge on the mdddl at run-time, and render a PDF or an image to the client.

However, I can't seem to find any documentation on how the .mdddl format actually works...There's a simple "Hello World" example but that will only get me so far. Is there any documentation on each construct of the mdddl language?

Thanks!
Jared

When using MigraDoc in our applications, we moved away from MDDDL and now create documents using the Document Object Model (DOM).

The MDDDL documentation was created around 2002, but it's in German only.

In the beginning we used to start with Word documents, convert them to MDDDL and add some code.
We also created Office Converters that are no longer maintained. They are available in German only. They can convert parts of Word or Excel documents or complete documents to MDDDL. They were created and tested with Office 2000 and may not work with later Office versions.

I hope this helps a little bit.
