I'm not sure if this is a bug, but when assigning a string to document info (title,author etc) containing unicode/non-latin characters (eg hebrew), they get converted to latin chars.

outputDocument.Info.Author="אבג"; etc

In acrobat reader the properties become: Þà×Ý etc

Note that the reader displays the characters properly when inserted via acrobat.

update- I tried with the greek and russian text provided in the unicode sample and this also did not work. I see that in the adobe-created pdfs, they have an extra RDF section that appears to have the info separately in unicode?
